As we reflect on the year 2023 and all it has been for us, I see in my own experience some incredible things have occurred and I’ve also experienced sadness and loss.
The key to being healthy, happy and moving forward in alignment until more of what we want finds its way to us, is our ability to experience the sad. Not bypass it or deny it, but be true to our feelings and then find the value. We can find the learning, we can ask ourselves how these events shape us and make us more and we take that with us as we move on.

This in the brain is a shift in our neuropsychology. Our brain loves familiar patterns and it learns what’s important to us and continually finds the evidence of that for us. Have you ever noticed the momentum you build when you just start talking? It’s like a runaway train, because your brain is so smart and so fast, it’s associating data, and your mind starts populating imagery and memories start appearing and now you’ve hit evidence to validate your thoughts and it’s cycling now, looping, and fully engaged. If this is validating the negative, you’re training your brain to neurologically run this pattern over and over. So it’s habitual and becomes the truth to you.

But the same occurs in the positive.

So, when we’re conditioned to see the negative and we start interrupting the pattern with finding value, we start creating new neural patterns. The brain starts looking for matching data of value and we start changing our thought patterns to our strength, our capability and we start finding the evidence of that and we begin reshaping our experiences to be able to hold the sadness and the gratitude. In essence, to hold duality.

Our brains are incredible and our thoughts affect our bodies. Psychology 100% influences physiology and our brains love familiarity and predictability/ running the same neurocircuitry patterns over and over every day.

The world is creating chronic stress and nervous system deregulation, but you can change that. You have all the functioning ability within you! So as you move through the end of this year and contemplate all it has been, find value in the hard times and dream of all the amazing experiences you want to experience in 2024.
