This month I want to dive into a subject that’s really nuanced that we tend to approach harshly, when what’s really required is softer contemplation of the service involved.
So, what am I talking about?
I’m talking about “self-sabotage.” I don’t finish the certification or the course, I switch jobs but I don’t go for the one with more pay and more responsibility, I settle for one that’s less, or I don’t leave where I currently am because it’s comfortable. I don’t invest in myself or take self-improvement courses, yet, I’m unhappy..
These are all ways that we sabotage ourselves and then, have you noticed we’re so hard on ourselves when we do?
So, what’s the meaning behind it all?
Because you’re not malfunctioning, as if God made a mistake with you, the other prototypes are fine but not you… It’s definitely not that.
The reason you sabotage yourself is because in the going for what you really want, you’re afraid of pain. What if it doesn’t work out? What if you blow up your life? What if your relationship ends? What if you get rejected by that new job you’re applying for? What if…what if…what if…
We are terrified of experiencing emotional pain.
But we can change that wiring in your brain.
Let’s dive in…
