So much has been coming into my contemplation space lately and it led me to this question with a client I’ve been working with.
Do you want to be right or do you want to be free?
Because you can’t occupy both and experience the future that you want.
Because typically where you’re fighting to be right is keeping you tangled up in lack, in anger, in judgement, in defensiveness, and none of those states are the match to ease, independence, curiosity, awareness, creativity…
So, you’ve got to choose.
And that typically means choosing to let go of the past. Putting down the injustices. Realizing that people can only give you what they’re capable of, to the degree that they’ve done any personal work on themselves.
And when you get that – not logically but inside the heart in the feeling tone where your emotions reside, the subconscious terrain, where all those memories of pain and unfairness are coded in – when it lands and anchors there, then something extraordinary happens…
You become the authority of your own life.
You decide what you make things mean now as an adult person, with an adult mind doing the personal work, so that you are free…
You realize that people who are free don’t see any value in fighting to be right – which means making someone else who wronged them take responsibly for it.
We can’t control other people’s behavior. We have no idea of the evolutionary paths they are on.
That’s God’s work not ours.
So how do we start to anchor this into the subconscious mind?
First, we have to learn to contemplate the bargain we’ve been making with ourselves.
We don’t think in those terms but this video will take you there…
Let’s dive in…
